Here is our advice to reassure those customers involved in on-going projects with us:
The m-hance consultancy team is primarily a home-based team who are already used to this working environment. We anticipate there will be no significant disruption to our normal operations.
Prior to the government advice to recommend no non-essential travel, m-hance was proactive in discussing the implication of a fully remote project team (for both parties) with its clients. By and large, the majority of our clients already had a home-working policy and the tools needed to embrace such an approach.
As a principle, m-hance insists on regular communication between project managers, our consultancy team and our clients’ project team. Whilst face-to-face meetings are key to help build and maintain our relationship as a partner, we embrace and promote the use of Microsoft Teams for regular video calls which has worked well. This will help to ensure our projects stay on track, within scope and discussion on any potential issues is maintained on a regular basis.
Despite having already strong project governance in place, the project timelines and budgets of all projects will be more closely monitored by our PMO team and senior management over the coming weeks. We see no reason for the budget of projects to increase at this time due to the change in working and we will be understanding and flexible as partners where projects need to be adapted during these challenging times. Project timelines may be impacted where certain activities (such as training) cannot take place as our clients have a preference for this to be undertaken face-to-face. We expect these instances to be minimal and have been proactive in assessing any crunch points in projects which may occur.
