m-hance migrates Bolero International’s on-premise ERP solution to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

m-hance, a leading Microsoft Gold Partner, was selected by Bolero International to migrate its ERP solution from Dynamics GP to Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Bolero International is an organisation that has strong trading, finance, and maritime expertise. Bolero International had been using an on-premise version of Dynamics GP. The company started to find challenges while using this older version of Dynamics GP and needed a more modern version that was better suited to its needs and was able to fulfil the organisation’s future requirements. As m-hance was already a reliable supplier for Bolero International, it was an easy decision for the team to approach the software solutions provider for a discussion on transitioning its ERP system. After in-depth conversations, the decision was made to upgrade Bolero to the new ERP cloud-based solution from Microsoft; Dynamics 365 Business Central.

The project was very successful for all parties involved. Bolero International was an early adopter of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and although this presented some minor challenges, it also went hand in hand with a large number of benefits. Bolero’s global trading requirements necessitated a small amount of tailoring to accommodate differing currency reporting requirements. This included generating bespoke reports for the use of Making Tax Digital for VAT as well as adjusting invoices and templates to match currencies which m-hance was able to help with. One major benefit that the organisation will realise from adopting this new ERP system is the ability to work remotely utilising this internal system. Bolero is also enjoying key benefits from the SaaS-based Dynamic 365 Business Central solution such as simplifying requirements around the need for regular back-ups and manual updates with automatic product updates available automatically from Microsoft every 6 months as part of the service.
