The Stroke Association chooses m-hance to gain a 360-degree view of its supporters

m-hance, a leading Microsoft Gold Partner and provider of Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions to the Not-for-Profit sector, was selected by The Stroke Association to move the charity from its legacy system onto Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Founded in 1899, the aim of The Stroke Association is to support people to rebuild their lives after a stroke. The charity believes that everyone deserves to live the best life they can after a stroke, so therefore provides specialist support, funds critical research and campaigns to make sure people affected by strokes get the very best care and support to rebuild their lives. Rebuilding lives after a stroke is a team effort. It takes the determination of stroke survivors and carers, the generosity of supporters and the dedication of the healthcare and research communities to get there. To help the recovery of stroke survivors, the organisation’s key areas of work include support services, information, research, fundraising, campaigning and volunteering.

When the team at The Stroke Association wanted to move from a legacy system that was no longer fit for purpose or for the charity’s growth plans, they embarked on a tender process and selected m-hance and its NfP 365 Enterprise solution which is built on the foundation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales and Service and tailored to the unique needs of charities. The project went live successfully in 2022 and is currently being embedded within a number of teams at the organisation, including Regional Fundraising, Legacy, High Value, Supporter Relations, Retention, Growth and Acquisition.

Alan Moody, CEO at m-hance says:

“The team at The Stroke Association are a fantastic example of an organisation who is keen to maximise and benefit from the core functionality within Dynamics 365 Sales and Service. A key component of this was the integrations required for the smooth day-to-day running of the charity, which the team here needed to work into the project. As such, integrations including KingswaySoft for data imports, Just Giving for donations, dotdigital for marketing automations and the charity’s own data warehouse have been seamlessly implemented. We are very much looking forward to continuing to work with the team on their future goals and requirements.”

The project’s requirements and scope were carefully monitored and controlled throughout implementation and delivered successfully on time, in full and within the charity’s budget. Following time for the solution to embed within the organisation, future work will involve building on the strong foundation of what is already in place.

Rosie Brown, Technology Project Manager at The Stroke Association says:

“We selected Dynamics as it’s a well-supported product with new functionality being added regularly which we can build on, so we felt it was a solution that would future-proof our organisation. m-hance’s NfP 365 Enterprise solution ticked all of the boxes in terms of the standard functionality we knew we wanted which could be embedded quickly and was relatively straightforward. It was also “tried and tested” within the sector with charity-specific functionality included, such as Direct Debit and Gift Aid processing, plus we received recommendations about m-hance and the solution from our peers. The NfP 365 User Group was also a huge benefit as this was an established platform where we could speak to others in the community to share ideas about best practices, new ways of doing things and so on.”

NfP 365 Enterprise is part of the m-hance NfP 365 suite which comprises of a selection of solutions built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and tailored specifically for charities. Also included are Microsoft Cloud for NonProfit’s Fundraising & Engagement, NfP 365 Power Platform and NfP 365 Power Apps, as well as Dynamics 365 Business Central for Charities; demonstrating m-hance’s ability to offer charities a true Microsoft Dynamics 365 end-to-end solution for all their fundraising and finance requirements.
